PFPMA Scholars Program

The PFPMA Scholars Program aims to support graduating high school seniors who are pursuing higher education at an accredited college or university of their choice. The program acknowledges outstanding students for their achievements in leadership, community service, and academics. Each year, several one-time scholarships are awarded, starting at a minimum of $1000.00. The scholarships are made available to students attending identified Title One schools located within the geographical region of PFPMA's annual Pre-Season Conference/Retreat.

Application Requirements: 

  • Currently attending high school as a graduating senior 
  • GPA of 2.5 or higher 
  • Completed application form
  • Written statement/essay 300-500 words. (Topic:  How will a college education help you make an impact?  Why is it important to you and how will you use the scholarship money, if awarded? Include your college goals and choice of major, if decided.)
  • Official high school transcript 
  • SAT or ACT results 
  • College/University acceptance letter
  • Two letters of recommendation (at least one from a high school teacher or counselor.  (Family members are not eligible to provide a letter of recommendation) 
Completed application and all supporting materials must be received by the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered.           

The 2023 scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors attending East High School and Southeast High School in Kansas City, MO.

2023 PFPMA Scholarship application dates and deadlines: 

March  10:   Scholarship application form available online.

April 14: Deadline for submission of the application for a 2023 PFPMA scholarship.
